How Long Does Redness In Body Post Shingles Outbreak Take To Alleviate?

I had an outbreak of Shingles on my abdomen about 30 days ago. It took about 10 days for the blisters to all break, then they scabbed over and the scabs were gone about a week later. But I still have considerable redness from where the shingles were and it is definitely noticeable. How long before the redness goes away? In the past week, I ve seen no improvement at all. I keep making excuses for why I can t see my girlfriends ... Thanks in advance.
