How Long Does The Lump On Buttock Take To Dissolve?

I fell in the ice 10 days ago and hit edge of step on my right glute...I have a baseball size lump on my rump. I can feel the scar tissue where I hit the step. It's painful and I am wondering if it could take months for the lump to dissolve. I'm also worried about the scar tissue and any lasting effects. Lastly, is it ok to exercise and run if I feel up to it? Thanks.
