How Long Should The Braces Be Worn After Spinal Fracture?

I was in a bad vehicle accident a month ago. I was diagnosed with compression fractures in C7 and T1-T5. T5 is the worst. I have been in a brace the entire time. How long do people normally have to wear the brace? Also, my right shoulder blade has started hurting in the last week to the point I can t use it. Is this anything to do with the compression fractures or is it something else?
