How Long The Liver Takes To Detoxify The Body Of An Alcohol Addict?

if a person has been a habitual drinker (alcohol) for many years, and is physically fit and with apparent good health, how long does it take for the liver itself to detox. I am a very healthy 60 yr old woman. Is there any thing you can suggest that I do to enhance this???
