How Often Is It Safe To Use Short Courses Of Prednisone For Respiratory Issues, Given My History Of Adrenal Insufficiency And Frequent Use?

I am 73 year old female. I was diagnosed with adrenal insufficiency years ago. I have had trouble with respiratory illness throughout my life. As a child they call it swollen glands which took antibiotics and/or penicillin. As an adult I periodically have a respiratory illness that only one time in 2018 but pneumonia to be in the hospital for a few days. The doctor who cared for me was on call from another location and happened to know about adrenal issues and put a great deal of Prednisone in me to knock it out of there. I have had prednisone before but the pneumonia was the worst of it. About every 6 months I would get another bow with respiratory and have to take a short course of prednisone to get rid of it. This time it s only been 2 months since the last course. Extra activity which puts stress on severe arthritis of feet ankles and knees seems to give me a wallet for bringing it on again. This is why I come in here asking about using prednisone and how frequently you can use that short course. The stress of the changing in the weather from hot to cold also seems to be a part of bringing this on.
