How Safe Is Fibroid Removal Through Hysterectomy?

I have been diagnosed with an enlarged fibroid which was detected because I am extremely anaemic and therefore I have been recommended to have it removed by having a hysterectomy. I am 48 years old and have had my children. I know this is the right solution but I am feeling scared and being fit want to also whether I will gain weight after surgery but at the same time I am over the bloating. Appreciate any advice
