How Safe Is Taking Cipro For Sinus Infection?

I have been taking Cipro 3 days for strep viridans, kidney trouble, bloody urine with lots of clots. I'm trying to figure out what had hit me. I had something that I think might have been a strep infection a couple of months ago. I'm hoping it isn't anything worse. (Like breast cancer from 1992 coming back.)
