How Safe Is Taking Macrobid For UTI?

I have been prescribed Macrobid for a uti and am on 2nd last day of meds with little to no improvement and have reduced frequency urinating for last 2 days.Also,have been referred to a urologist and diagnosed with an enlarged prostrate about 1 year ago.
