How Safe Is To Continue With Mirena Instead Of Plan B?

Hi, I just recently had the Mirena IUD inserted on Friday (4 days ago), but had intercourse on Sunday night. My doctor did tell me that the Mirena would not be affective for 2 weeks, so now I am wondering if I should take a plan b. Would that be a bad idea?
