How Safe Is Using Clorox Bleach On Vaginal Area?

I was forced to put clorox bleach on my vaginal area, then sat in a bath that bleach was added to when I was about 15 or 16 to "prevent a pregnancy." It did burn a little at the time, I'm hitting 30 sex really doesn't feel good, could there be damage down there due to the bleach? Thanks.
