How Serious Is Shadow On Brain Post Lumbar Puncture To Relieve Bleeding Brain?

My friend's daughter was rushed to hospital with bleeding on the brain and has had 2 lumbar punctures to relieve it. She was doing well and now she has been taken into intensive care with a shadow on the brain so we were just wondering if we could get a bit more information on what this means and how serious it is?
