How Should The Contraceptive Pills Be Maintained If Extra Dosage Is Taken On One Day?

i took two contraceptive pills today by mistake. just wondering how i should go about the end of the month as i will be one day short. my doctor told me to not take my break this month so run 2 months together break-free. and then have 8 days free and the end of the second month as the risk will be lower. Need a second opinion.
