How Should Tinnitus In Both Ears Be Treated?

For 2 3 weeks I have had tinnitus high pitched mainly left but also in right - right ear more worrying have whooshing noise as well when bend down and sometimes when I lie in bed at night on left side a heartbeat sound in the right ear. GP said its tinnitus and I'll get used to it and its difficult to treat. My aunt had a brain aneurysm and im worried i might have one.
