How Soon After I Take Linzess Can I Expect To

How soon after I take Linzess can I expect to have to go to the bathroom? I've been told to take 1/2 a pill daily or every other day. Also, the information says to take the med 30 minutes before eating. Because of my schedule, this is not a good time. I want to take the medication in the evening, after my day's activities are over, or before I go to bed.
