How Soon After A Diagnosis Of Dm2 Can Neuropathy Begin?

How soon after a diagnosis of dm2 can neuropathy begin? first off I dont even know if I'm diabetic but i have a feeling due to fam hx but for about 3 weeks now, I've been having s/sx of hunger and when i eat a high carb diet, i start to have a funny feeling in my abdomen and funny taste in my mouth. I'm 43yo AAF
