How Soon Can I Take A Pregnancy Test Inspite Of Having Late Periods?

Hi we tried for a 2nd baby...i missed my period ...i have 25-28 regular cycle ...this is my 37th day..i took urine test on my 34th day..but it was negative ...i have no symptoms of pregnancy ...what can i do now.shall i go for checkup or wait for a week ...
