How Soon Can I Take A Pregnancy Test Despite Having Delay In Periods?

Hi i am a few day late for my period i have taken two home pregnancy tests only a few hours apart the first one had one line on the display indercating not pregnant when i took a closer look i could see another light pink line running paralle to the the first they were both touching i am uncertain on what this means the second test showed a faint pink line and that vanished with in a few seconds but the test line stayed also unsure what that means can you give me some insight please .
