How To Check For Broken Vein In Hand After An Injury?

Hi so I was taking my dog outside to go to the bathroom and he ran and I had him on a leash and the leash fell off my hand but the leash hurt my hand and it rubbed against the vein on my hand and now the vein has a little bump on it. Did I break the vein?
