How To Control Erections?

Hi,i got a circumcision about 4 days ago. and the stitches are soluble, but there are already threads that are sticking out. is this normal? its bothersome and is it okay to have erections? i cant really control them. also, am i allowed to soak my penis, will that help any?thank you!
