How To Cure A Bruise On The Upper Lip?

My daughter came home today with what looks like a purple stain on her upper lip, below her nose. It's a perfect 1/2 circle almost like a bruise. She said it doesn't itch and only hurts if she smiles overly big. She's more embarrassed by the looks of it than in pain.
