How To Cure A Cyst On The Wrist?

Hi! I had a cyst in my right wrist and had after two aspirations, the cyst still wouldn't go away. The hand specialist recommended that I massage it regularly. After a few weeks, the cyst disappeared! However, the area (right by the wrist bone near thumb) where the cyst used to be is now a paler shade than the rest of my hand and the veins are very visible. Sometimes even bulgy. Should I be concerned?
