How To Cure A Discolored Patch On The Left Ankle?

I am 59 yrs old male and have a skin condition on my left ankle front. Being a muslim this is the area on which I sit during prayer and is in contact with the carpet or mat. This is discoloured patch with some lesions and has not healed for 4-5 years. It some times oozes and then dries up. As reccomended by my GP I have been useing various creams and steroids on it.
