How To Cure Hair Bump On Edge Of Lip?

I have a hair bump on the edge of my lower lip in the left corner. It has been feeling sore for a coupe of days now.. I was told to try putting a warm rag on it for a couple of minutes to open it up and gently try to push the hard ball that s inside of the bump out but when I did this only a little blood came out... How can I get rid of this with minimal scarring, as it is on my lip and I don t want it to look gross for the next couple of days???
