How To Cure Itching On The Scalp Along With Ring Worm Infection?

My 5 year old daughter has ringworm in her hair. She has itched so much there are several scabs and a bald spot the size of a half dollar. What can I do to relieve the itching. We are waithing to hear from her doctor yet today on the results from a blood test so she can go ahead and start taking medicine.
