How To Cure Painful Semi-hard Lump On Mons Pubis?

hi, i have a semi-hard lump about the size of two quarters on the left side of the mons pubis but not quite in the vulva area. It doesnt discharge any pus and is not discolored. It hurts once in a while when irritated and touched but comes and goes. What can this be? Is this a serious matter
