How To Cure Passing Of Congealed Blood While Passing Stool?

Hi,I am 62 and female and have just noticed congealed blood when passing a stool.I have in the past had haemorrhoids but that was always fresh blood that usually had a swelling vein which would be sore .This, though is quite different.I am going on holiday on Wed, for a month , to America. How important is it I see a doctor?
