How To Cure Scabs And White Area On The Septum Of The Nostril?

I have a white site on the septum of my right nostril that scabs over and creates an irritating blockage in that side if my nose. Will this eventually heal on its own if I do not pick the scab or blow my nose on that side? This had been going on for years.
