How To Cure Swelling On Top Of The Left Foot?

i have had swelling on top of my left foot for a month now i hade a bad case of the flue over christmas, and was in bed for nearly 2 weeks. getting only to use the b r. i m 64 and have a short bowel stoma. it s warm and tender to the touch. also very tired.
