How To Cure Swollen Throat After Swallowing Tortilla Chip?

I swallowed a tortilla chip, almost whole, it got caught in my throat and took a few minutes to swallow it down with water to help. Felt like a knife cutting. Now my throat feels swollen. Will it just heal on its own or are there some precautionary steps I should take?
