How To Diagnose The Presence Of Adenoid Cysts Leading To Bad Breath?

Hi, I have been suffering with bad breath for about a year now. I thought it was just due to tonsiliths, but recently things have also been popping near my adenoids, with me swallowing gritty stuff. I thought it may be an infection, but a bit more Googling suggests it may be adenoid cysts. Is it time for me to ask for my tonsils and adenoids to be removed?
