How To Get Rid Of A Brown Mark On The Cheek?

I have a brown mark on my upper cheek (face) from where I had roadrash 4 weeks ago and the skin seems to have almost completely healed but the brown mark does not seem to be fading. Is it ok to use TCA peel to try to get rid of the mark- or is too early/dangerous?
