How To Get Rid Of Dark Blotches On Face?

Hi my fourteen year old has a pimple he popped on his back and it is oozing blood an pus. He popped it and next to the pimple the entire skin is hard. He says it hurts. He also started to get really big bad pimples on his face, he popped them and I put Neosporin but now he has blotches that are dark, how and what should I do to help him have better smooth skin, pimple free?
