How To Get Rid Of Eating Dead Skin While Having Eczema?

Hello i have eczema and i have had it since i was in middle school. My problem is i have a very, very, very bad habit of eating the dead skin on my hands where my eczema is the worse. My skin on my hands will flake and peel and i pick at it constantly a lot of times doing it without even knowing its so bad. So basically i need to know what is wrong with me? Why do i eat my own skin? Its like i can't control myself i need help!
