How To Get Rid Of Fatty Cyst On The Shin?

my 5 year old seems to have a fatty cyst on the left side of his shin its about a little bigger then a dime size. it is only visible when he walks forward not standing still. it does not hurt but his pediatrician is recommending he sees a pediatric surgeon. is there cause for concern
