How To Get Rid Of Hyperpigmentation On Face?

I am a teenager with severe hyperpigmentation from acne scars. I have acne but it is not severe or mild just a few breakouts every other week or so. Yet with my face it looks like I have serious acne. I just wanted to know what I should do to get rid of the hyperpigmentation because I do not have Icepick, boxcar, or rolling acne scars. Just hyperpigmentation which shows a pimple has been there. What should I try?
