How To Get Rid Of Infected Hair Follicle In The Mole?

Not in our health coverage area for another four months. Can only see emergency room docs. Have a mole on back, reddish in color. It recently changed into a big blister. Applied a steroid cream and the blister went back down, but there is what appears to be possibly an infected hair follicle in the mole. Should I remove the hair and see if it changes the mole?
