How To Get Rid Of Painful Indent On Head?

I'm an 18 year old female. I just recently found an indent on the left side of my head that is about 2 inches and about 4 inches above my ear also shaped like a crescent. I haven't had any recent head injury. Also if you touch it in a certain it sends a feeling of pins and needles. Please help should I go see a doctor.
