How To Get Rid Of Swollen Scab On The Shoulder?

Hello. I had a small scab on my shoulder over the past week. Today it is swollen and red. There is a red mark going from my scab about 3 inches over my shoulder toward my chest. The line is about a cm thick. It hurts, but not crazy bad. Is there a chance this is an infection?
