How To Know If Tampon Is Stuck In Vagina?

Me and my boyfriend had sex last night and I can not remember if I took my tampon out. I have felt up there but am not sure if what I am feeling is a tampon or just me. How would I know? I am worried about getting TSS if I did not take it out and it remains in me.
