How To Reduce Bruise And Pain In Knee?

Hi I fell down on my left knee a few weeks ago, after wards it was very bruised and there is a lump just below my kneecap that has a crunchy feeling to it. There isnt too much pain there but laying down or sitting I get a dull ache and there is also tightness and instability.
