How To Remove Blackhead In Belly Button ?

My fiance had a blackhead in her belly button and I "popped" it for her it continued to come out after popping it numerous times at the end it seemed as if the core was coming I tried to pull it out with the tweezers and this did nothing would not pull out and it was more like skin that I was pulling on. Any ideas?
