How To Remove Mirena Coil As Its In The Wrong Position?

i went to have my mirena coil taken out (which ive had in for nearly five years) as i would like to try for a baby and when they tried to take it out they said they couldnt find it now i am very worried, i have also been having alot of pain in my stomach, especially after intercourse, and wonder is this because the coil is in the wrong position. im 30, 5"9, 11 stone, have had 3 healthy children all born naturally.
