How To Sterilize After An Accidental Needle Prick?

I recently bought a blouse at the store and it had a sewing need still attached. Anyway I tried this blouse on and I pricked myself several times trying to get it off. Is there a chance it could transmit anything to me. I m not sure of how many people may have touched the needle or why it was still there in the first place.
