How To Stop The Habit Of Chewing The Skin Off Around Finger Nails?

hi my name is shelby, im 15 and when im reading or studying or just plainly staring into space, i chew off the skin on the sides of my finger nails and eat it. probably sounds really weird but i just am worried that im harming my organs and stuff and im worriied that its not normal
