How To Treat A Deep Cut On Nose Caused Due To An Injury?

My father has fallen from a computer chair and fell on the bridge of his nose with his glasses still on onto the computer desk right in front of him, how deep or severe does the cut has to be until i consider stitches or just a simple clean up and wait for scabbing?
