How To Treat A Lump Behind The Ear ?

I was in bed 2 weeks ago cleaning my ear with a qtip and my fiance accidently hit my hand and jammed it into my eardrum. It was sore the next day and the day following I noticed a lump/bump behind my ear right above my jawbone. Its about a 1/4 to 1/2 big, any idea on how to determine if its a cyst or was caused from the qtip? -thankyou
