How To Treat Back Pain Caused Due To Muscle Tear Inspite Of Taking Methylprednisolone?

I am on my second day of Methylpredisolone having taken my second dose for today. There has been NO RELIEF for the back pain. I was diagnosed with tears in muscle at the spine. The pain first started 12/30/14 and makes it impossible for me to sleep. I can't turn over or get up if I lie down. The X-rays caused a great deal of pain. I hurt when I walk or move, sit or stand. I have no idea what caused the pain to begin with.I have had a headache since yesterday and my face is flushed.I feel I am better off stopping the med. I will phone the doctor in the morning.Any suggestions..
