How To Treat Back Pain In Periods?

I often get back ache during my period but in the last 3- 4 months the back ache has been about 10 days after the start of my period which has now finished. Pain is in lower back and comes and goes like the contractions I experienced in labour. lasts 3 -4 days and is now keeping me awake at night.
