How To Treat Bleeding Caused Due To Chipped Nails?

My wife has false nails and she caught her right thumb on the back of a metal chair which lifted her false nail and her real nail from the normal position on her thumb. We applied hydrogen peroxide to the bleeding thumb and applied a tough strip Johnson and Johnson band aid. She took 2 500 mg caplets of acetminophen to relieve the pain. What medical treatment should we now seek?
