How To Treat Bruise And Raised Bump In Back Caused After An Injury?

I have had a side ache for about 5 days.It was enough so that I could not sleep without taking Ibuprofen about 3 times a day.I had been operating an exercise machine which concentrated on that area, so attributed it to sore muscles. Also, I fell on that side a couple of days later and had a bruise on my upper back from the fall. I thought I hit something sharp. I have continued to take the Ibuprofen and it stops the pain (about every 8 hrs.). Today I noticed a raised bumpy area on my lower back. There are no "pustules" but it resembles pictures on the site. I have had the Shingles vaccination (about 6 yrs. ago.)I am 77 years old in excellent health. I did have a bad case of chicken pox as a child.
